Social Explorers Group 

Students will learn how to recognize and understand social cues, behavioral, and social expectations and how to self-monitor, self-regulate and control emotions.

  • This group is based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy, social skill instruction, mindfulness, play therapy, The Zones of Regulation and Social Thinking by Michelle Garcia Winner.
  • Strategies provided for parents to facilitate children’s skills outside of the therapy room.

This group is specifically developed for children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, anxiety disorder. However, all people in general can benefit from attending groups to build skills in the focused areas. Groups will focus on skill building in the following areas:
